Leadership Development Conference
February 7-8, 2008             Carolina Beach, NC
Each year CACCE offers its members the opportunity to bring their volunteer leaders together with those from other communities to focus on building leadership skills.  While the primary focus of programming is on improving Chambers of Commerce, we strive to offer something extra that volunteers can take back to their own businesses.  Normal attendance is 100 – 130 including Chamber professionals, volunteers, vendors and speakers.  This is the only annual CACCE conference that caters to volunteers and the chamber professional.  Cost is usually around $200, plus hotel.

Professional Development Series
April 30- May 2, 2008             Cabarrus, NC
PDS is an annual educational program offering Chamber “basic training” in a format designed for anyone who needs or wants to know more about the management of a Chamber of Commerce.  It is taught by experienced Chamber executives and consultants in specific areas.  PDS is great for the chamber staff to get a better understanding of the basics of Chamber of Commerce operations.  It is also serves as a refresher course for the seasoned chamber professional and the CEOs of small chambers.  All inclusive cost is usually $175 - $250 depending on location (includes hotel). 

Annual Management Conference
September 3-5, 2008            Greenville, SC
This is CACCE’s premier conference each year and is typically held at a destination resort.  It is an opportunity for Chamber professionals to come together and learn more about chamber management and how to be successful in their local communities.  Programs focus on sharpening management skills and “cutting edge” ideas.  Normal attendance has increased to approximately 130 including Chamber executives, spouses, exhibitors and speakers.  The Awards Ceremony features presentation of the annual Executive of the Year Awards, recognition of Institute Scholarship recipients and the presentation of newly inducted Honorary Life Members.  Cost is usually $300 - $350, plus hotel.

CEO Roundtables
Throughout 2008
Hosted by different Chambers throughout the two-state area.  Each session offers a chance for CEOs to unite and discuss pressing issues in the Chamber world.  Topics may include membership events, membership retention, websites roundtable discussion on topics of interest to Chamber managers and staff.  Sessions are facilitated by the local Chamber president or the CACCE president, desktop publishing, relationships with other organizations, capital campaigns and any other topic of interest to the group.  The two hour session is designed to maximize the busy Chamber professional’s time. Cost varies from free to less than $100.

CEO Retreat
An in-depth program on a single subject matter that is vital the to the development of the chamber professional’s career.  This two day event cost varies, depending on location, from $250 - $350.
