CACCE & Hearn Family to give Institute Scholarships in 2009 

CACCE will give $7,000 in Institute Scholarships this year. 
Ten $500 and two $1,000 scholarships will be given to CACCE member chambers.
Applications and instructions can be found at the bottom of this page. 

The Hearn Family will give 2 FULL scholarships to two new Chamber staff members, having less than three years in the industry with at least one being from North Carolina. The scholarship will be awarded to individuals attending Institute in Athens, Georgia.

2009 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Please be aware of these important dates:
March 2, 2009                Scholarship Applications will be made available

March 30, 2009                   Scholarship Applications due in the CACCE office

April 7 – April 14, 2009        Scholarship Committee will make their decisions

April 15, 2009                        Scholarship Recipients will be announced

May 1, 2009                          Deadline for Early Registration for the Southeast Institute in Athens, Georgia
 

May 30, 2009                        Deadline for all scholarship recipients’ Institute registration forms in CACCE office
 

June 21-25, 2009                  Class for the Southeast Institute in Athens, Georgia

Institute for Organization Management is a professional development program for association and chamber executives. Presented by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Institute is hosted at five university locations across the country. Since 1921, thousands of nonprofit professionals have attended, making it the most recognized and valued educational program in the industry. The Institute curriculum is a four-year course of study designed by experts in association, chamber, and nonprofit management. Participants take five required core courses each year with the same group of colleagues, creating a learning group that builds upon previous classes. Students consistently report that the experience the most inspiring and innovative professional development program they’ve ever attended.
