From the desk of Susanne Sartelle:

For those of us working on the Calendar Year, it’s getting into budget time.  I just want to put in a word for Chamber Institute.  I hope all of you are graduates of Institute, but if not, please consider it for 2010.

And if you are an IOM, then I know you’re a fan of the program so I encourage you to send staff members.  It is an important professional development experience for the up-and-coming in our business.

A new catalog will be coming out for 2010, but here’s the link to the current Institute catalog

So, please give thought to including Institute in your 2010 budget.

Have a great week!

Susanne

Dear CACCE Member:

I am honored to serve as your President for our association’s 2009/2010 year.

As we continue to look ahead to a brighter economic picture, chambers of commerce in our two states and around the country must continue to be relevant and needed organizations in our communities.

Your Board developed a Strategic Plan last year setting the stage for our program of work going forward.  Essentially, we will provide training and information for you and your staff that enhances your skills and knowledge while keeping your chamber innovative.

We also plan to update our electronic tools to help you find information, share ideas and learn through best practice opportunities.  We want the CACCE website to become your ‘book marked’ source for chamber information.

If you have ideas for making CACCE even stronger, please let us hear from you.  We want you to get the most from your membership.

Thank you for your support.

F. Ben Haskew, CCE

"CACCE has been the best asset for someone like me – new to Chamber business.  Within the first few weeks of becoming a Chamber exec, I attended one of CACCE’s CEO Roundtables – just what I needed to help acclimate me to Chamber operations.  Since day one, this organization has been a resource to assist me on all fronts."

-Dan Meyer, President/CEO, Boone Area Chamber of Commerce
