Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce is seeking a
Communication/Marketing Director for 800+ member
organization.
The Brunswick County
Chamber represents the coastal and inland communities of
Brunswick County, NC, centrally located between Myrtle
Beach, SC and Wilmington, NC.
Job Summary:
This
position is responsible for the design of advertising
for local, regional and national publications including
newspapers and magazines. Writes and distributes press
releases to media. The development of the chamber’s
website banner advertising campaign. Writes and edits
monthly chamber newsletter and other publications.
Coordinates weekly broadcast emails to membership.
Coordinates member events; such as ribbon cuttings,
grand openings and anniversaries. Coordinates trade and
travel shows. Serves as photographer at events. Assists
other staff members as needed. Reports directly to the
Chamber President.
Skills needed:
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Candidate must be able to effectively manage multiple
priorities. Must be detailed oriented while maintaining
high productivity. Marketing/Communication background
preferred. People skills are of extreme importance.
Knowledge of computer based systems. The ability to
maintain confidentiality is a must. Candidate must also
project a positive and professional image.
Education required: Bachelors
Degree and a minimum of two years experience in the
workplace relative to public relations, communications,
marketing or related work education and/or experience.
