The
Greater North Augusta Chamber of Commerce in North Augusta,
South Carolina is seeking applicants for the President
position.
North
Augusta,
South Carolina is a dynamic city of approximately 20,000
plus population in the center of a 500,000 person
Aiken-Augusta MSA and located on the Savannah River.
The
successful candidate will be expected to be a skilled
communicator and will act as the liaison in continuously
strengthening the partnership between the membership, the
Board of Directors, staff, business and community leaders,
government officials, and other local non-profit community
organizations. The President reports directly to the Board
of Directors.
The
President of the Chamber will be responsible for all aspects
of the Chamber and will be expected to:

Think strategically, develop goals with action plans and
successfully implement the plan

Clearly communicate through exceptional written and
public speaking skills
-
Manage the general finances based on budget and report
to the Executive Committee, Finance Committee and Board
of Directors on a regularly scheduled timeframe.

Possess event planning and reporting skills including
managing multiple priorities simultaneously with a high
level of energy
-
Be
active and highly engaged in community events directly
and not directly related to specific Chamber activities

Grow
the membership on an active basis
Applicants should have leadership, management, financial and
event planning skills. Bachelor’s Degree and prior
experience in the operations of a non-profit or similar
organization is preferred. Successful applicant will be
required to reside in the North Augusta area.
