Record Attendance at the Annual Management Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC  Read the highlights and view the photos!

This year’s Annual Management Conference was a great success.  We had a record number of attendees and sponsors.  Thanks to Duke Energy, our presenting sponsor and Journal Communications, our Platinum Sponsor,  Chairman Brad Dean of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber was able to bring top notch speakers and entertainment to the table this year.  Other key sponsorships included Great Southern Publishers, Atlantic Publication Group, ChamberMaster and Stellar Fundraising Executives.

The changes made at this year’s conference seemed to go over well.  The Awards Luncheon was well received as well as the Friday evening casual buffet dinner with live entertainment.  Everyone had a great time dancing (and singing) the night away! 

During the awards luncheon we presented the Chamber Executive of the Year Awards for North and South Carolina.  This year’s recipients were Rob Youngblood from the York County Regional Chamber for South Carolina and Jim Carpenter of the Union County Chamber from North Carolina.
Both recipients were surprised when their entire staff, board presidents, board members and family members made the trip to be there when the awards were presented.  Read the press releases for each recipient to get the full picture of their accomplishments. 

We also had two additional very special presentations this year.  We had two former CACCE executives inducted as Honorary Lifetime Members.  Bruce Beasley presented Bo Lewis with his award and Susanne Sartelle presented Sonny Wilburn with his award.  Please help me congratulate each recipient on their achievements . .
